About Us
We’re a web and mobile design and development shop growing steadily in Waterloo. We focus on building great products, and work behind the scenes with some of the best companies around the world, from emerging start-ups to Fortune 500’s.
Founding Principles
Boltmade was founded on the premise that talented designers and developers, working on several projects per year could leverage their skills at product design and building techniques so effectively that we would provide an accelerated environment for building skills and provide very effective capabilities to clients looking for holistic product design and development.
The Boltmade engagement model is designed to create alignment and engender trust between Boltmade and clients so the economic relationship simply makes sense and can be all but forgotten with the work being in the center stage.
For this trust based relationship to emerge we need to demonstrate:
- Capable and talented staff.
- Supportive environment and tooling.
- Process to ensure productivity and accountability.
Our Culture
We like to work hard, but we like to have fun while we do it.
Everything else comes from that. We go out for team lunches regularly, have waffle Wednesday’s hear and there, enjoy Dr. Fear Meat-days from time-to-time, enjoy discussing good beer and wine, and too many other things to name.
